problems take time.

01 — The Problem We Exist to Solve

Modern medicine is brilliant at acute
care.It is structurally bad at
chronic, multi-system illness.

If you’ve been to four specialists and still don’t have an answer — that’s not your fault, and it’s not your imagination. It’s a structural problem.

The conventional system is built around a 12-minute visit, an organ-specific specialist, and a diagnostic code that maps to a billable treatment. That model works beautifully for a heart attack, a broken bone, or strep throat. It performs poorly on the things that now make up the majority of chronic disease in America: fatigue, brain fog, hormonal disruption, gut dysfunction, autoimmune flares, and metabolic decline.

These problems don’t live in a single organ. They live in the connections between systems — and those connections are exactly what 12 minutes can’t see.

Standard lab panels are calibrated to flag disease, not the slow drift toward it. You can be objectively unwell and still get told everything looks fine.

That gap — between feeling sick and being officially sick — is where most
of our patients have lived for too long. It’s where we work.

02 — Two Lenses, One Practice

Integrative and functional medicine
— applied together at every visit.

The terms get used interchangeably. They shouldn’t be. They describe two
different things, and we use both.

Diagnostic Framework

Functional medicine

Asks how your body’s systems — gut, hormones, immune, metabolic, neurological — are interacting and where the dysfunction starts. The upstream work of figuring out what’s actually wrong.

Treatment Philosophy

Integrative medicine

Combines the best of conventional medicine with evidence-based therapies — peptides, BHRT, IV, ozone, regenerative injections, clinical nutrition. The downstream work of fitting the plan to the actual person.

— Most clinics do one. We do both. —

03 — Physician Leadership

A Credential Combination that’s hard
to find in one physician.

The practice is led by Dr. Sagar Verma, MD, who holds three board certifications — a combination that doesn’t typically exist in a single physician.

Internal Medicine
The foundation. Trained to evaluate complex multi-organ problems before specialty narrowing.
Obesity Medicine
The metabolic engine of modern chronic disease. Direct training in GLP-1 protocols, insulin resistance, and longevity-oriented metabolic care.
Integrative Medicine
The toolkit and the philosophy that ties it together.
Additional Training
Peptide certification through the Human Longevity Institute.

“The internal medicine training gives us the systems view. The obesity medicine training gives us the metabolic and hormonal tools. The integrative training gives us a much wider therapeutic vocabulary than a typical clinic.”

IV Nutrient Therapy & Ozone

In-clinic IV protocols for repletion, recovery, and immune support. Ozone therapy for inflammatory and infectious processes.

06 — Diagnostics

We test what your case calls for.
No more, no less.

The reason functional medicine works is that it uses testing most clinics don’t order. The reason it
sometimes fails patients is when clinics over-test indiscriminately. We do neither.

Advanced Metabolic & Cardiovascular

Beyond CBC/CMP — ApoB, Lp(a), particle size, hs-CRP, homocysteine, insulin and glucose dynamics, genetic risk markers when appropriate.

GI Mapping & Stool Analysis

Dysbiosis, infections, parasites, inflammatory markers, and digestive function assessment.

Mycotoxin & Environmental

Mold and environmental toxin panels when exposure is suspected, with confirmatory follow-up.

Genetic & Longevity Panels

For patients pursuing optimization — including longevity-oriented panels and methylation analysis.

Comprehensive Hormone Panels

Sex hormones, adrenal/cortisol rhythms, full thyroid (with reverse T3 and antibodies), and DUTCH testing when indicated.

Micronutrient & Amino Acid

Far beyond a standard B12/D check — full intracellular nutrient and metabolic intermediate panels.

Heavy Metals

Urine, blood, and provoked testing when clinically indicated.

Body Composition & Metabolism

InBody and PNOE in select programs — direct measurement of metabolic rate and substrate utilization.

07 — The Patient Journey

We don’t believe in 15-minute visits for
complex problems.

01

Comprehensive Intake

60 – 90 MINUTES

A deep history. We map your timeline , when symptoms started, what made them worse, what changed in your life around the inflection points. We review prior labs, imaging, treatments, and supplements.
02

Targeted Diagnostics

2 – 3 WEEKS

We order the specific tests your case calls for. Most patients are surprised by the number of variables that come back abnormal that no one had ever tested.
03

The Plan Visit

60 MINUTES

A structured, written protocol , nutrition, supplementation, prescribed therapies (BHRT, peptides, IV, ozone), lifestyle changes, and a clear timeline for re-evaluation. Nothing handwaved.
04

Follow-Through

8 – 12 WEEKS INITIALLY

Chronic conditions don’t resolve in a single visit. We follow up at structured intervals to retest, refine, and adjust.

08 — Why Lifestyle Physicians

Credentials and capability, under
one roof.

i.

Triple board-certified physician leadership

The credential combination , Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, Integrative Medicine , is rare. Most integrative clinics aren’t physician-led. Most internal medicine clinics don’t offer integrative care. You get both.

ii.

A complete in-house toolkit

Many functional medicine practices identify problems and refer you elsewhere. We diagnose and treat under one roof , peptides, BHRT, IV, ozone, regenerative injections, medical weight loss, and aesthetics.

iii.

Real time, real attention

Initial visits are 60–90 minutes. Follow-ups are 30–60. The schedule is designed around your case, not the billing system.

iv.

Two locations serving the broader region

Warrenton and Culpeper. Patients come from Loudoun, Fauquier, Prince William, Culpeper, Rappahannock, and surrounding counties , without the drive into Northern Virginia traffic.

09 — Patient Stories

Real cases. Real outcomes.

11 — Common Questions

Answered before you call.

Is integrative medicine covered by insurance?

Some elements — the office visit and standard lab work — may be covered. Specialty testing, supplements, peptide therapy, IV therapy, BHRT, and ozone are typically not covered and are offered cash-pay. Costs are reviewed before any testing or treatment begins. We provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement when applicable.

Can I keep my primary care physician?

Yes, and we encourage it. Integrative medicine works best alongside good primary care. We coordinate with your existing physicians and share records when you’d like us to.

How is this different from a "wellness" clinic?

This is a physician-led medical practice. Diagnostics, prescribing, hormone replacement, and peptide therapy are done within a real medical relationship — not over a website checkout. Supplements are recommended only when clinically indicated.

How long until I feel better?

Most patients notice initial improvements in energy, sleep, or digestion within 4–8 weeks. Hormonal and metabolic shifts typically take 8–12 weeks. Deeper conditions — autoimmune, chronic gut dysfunction, cardiovascular optimization, long-COVID — typically follow a 6–12 month arc.

What does it cost to start?

The 90-minute consultation is the entry point. Costs vary depending on diagnostic workup. We send a written estimate before any specialty test is ordered.

Do you treat patients from outside Virginia?

We see patients in person at our Virginia locations. Telehealth follow-up is available in compliance with state licensure rules — we’ll confirm eligibility based on where you live.

How do I know if I'm a good fit?

The best-fit patients are those who want answers, are willing to engage actively in their own care, and are looking for a long-term physician relationship. If that describes you, schedule a consultation and we’ll figure out the rest together.

Ready to find out
what’s actually going on?

The first visit is where everything starts. Bring your history,
prior labs, and questions. We’ll bring the rest.
