 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ive been coming to Dr. Verma for probably a little over 4 years now and I cant recommend him enough.  He was the first doctor who looked at and into WHY I struggled to lose weight, beyond the standard thyroid test.  I can tell you that made a world of difference for me- its really disheartening to constantly just be told move and the scale will move.  He  helped discover a serious oxygen/iron deficiency and helped to right that, on top of the weight loss, which went hand in hand with the iron issues.

With his help the first go around, I lost 70 lbs pretty rapidly that I had been struggling to offload since  I had my baby 6 years prior, and not in an unhealthy way - he has a holistic approach along with traditional medicine and that combined with the diet helped me a lot.  Naturally within 23 lbs of my goal weight, I lucked out with another baby, which reignited all of the same issues with my body holding onto everything.  This time, 50 lbs has come off relatively easily but those last 45ish are being stubborn.

But I’m determined to stick with it, and its in large part bc of Dr. Verma and his staff. There is no shaming, and if you get off track, they are there to jump in and help re motivate you and guide you back, without making you feel like crap about it.  🤷🏼‍♀️. Thats a big deal for me, its very easy to feel disheartened and give up when you don’t feel supported.  Thats not the case here.

Ive sent 4 or 5 of my friends/coworkers to him over the years who shared similar struggles and they reported the same - he digs into the root issues, sends you to the specialists he thinks might be able to help correct the other partnering issues and for all of us, all different issues with some organ or blood or something, he’s hit the nail on the head and its helped make us healthier and do what we came here for - find a way to lose the weight.

They obviously do other things here as well but for me, it was a last ditch effort to get some help with something Id struggled with my whole life.  And its not a quick fix, but a fundamental life change, with results sticking around.

I first met Dr. Asad when I could barely walk and was scheduled for cortisone shots to treat four bulging disks in my lower back.  She said she could help me and 2 months later the inflammation was gone.  I have never needed the cortisone shots and have no back pain . Although I could lose a few pounds, that is not my primary focus.  I am interested in improving my health in the functional/naturopathic medicine way.  I am learning to eat the right food, as well as take the correct supplements.  Dr Verma is knowledgeable, patient, and puts up with all my questions.  He does not rush me out of the office.    Unlike conventional medicine, he looks at the body as a whole system that is connected rather than throwing prescription drugs at everything.  The body can solve most of the problems naturally. Dr Verma did a whole blood panel and put me on a whole health regimen immediately. Since seeing Dr. Verma I feel more energized, I have balanced my hormones, and lost weight. He has worked with my insurance and found me the best possible plan. When I originally visited him he diagnosed me with diabetes and within 3 months we have been able to reverse that. When I first came to one of his seminars, I was feeling hopeless about getting healthy and hopeless about ever being able to lose weight. After starting the program, I felt motivated, excited (yet nervous) and relieved to start changing the unhealthy patterns of my life. I felt surrounded with help from the team; there was excellent instruction from Dr. Verma,  thorough and engaging mini lessons from the online video courses, and wonderful in-person classes with the lovely Natasha -about all sorts of healthy lifestyle changes to incorporate in my life.
The individual meetings with Dr. Verma and Natasha have the appropriate amount of intimacy and care. I was impressed by all of the supplements, cleanses, exercise suggestions, hormone testing, biological knowledge, and friendliness of all the staff. I feel so healthy:  my eating is under control, I am sleeping much better, walking for exercise every day, and I’m down 20 lbs! I have used several services from Vitamin Infusions to, most recently, Vampire Facials. The customer service is profound. I regularly text Dr Asad and she always responds immediately.  They identified health conditions before my primary care did. The have eased my pain from MS. Helped me correct my hyperthyroidism. Really, correct. My thyroid has been normal for 2 years. He is a kind and understanding doctor that will help you work with your lifestyle and happy to explain or answer any questions. I would strongly recommend using them if you have to lose weight and or a yo-yo dieter. They work with you to change your lifestyle and not just a one-month fix. They certainly have a lot of products available but you are not pressured into vining anything.  In regards to finances,  Insurance won’t do anything for you so it is more of a self-pay program. I started seeing Dr. Verma back in about December of 2018, he helped me find that I actually had more issues than I was aware of. My thyroid wasn't right and that was effecting my ability to lose weight, not just my PCOS. We got my thyroid under control, and I started losing weight.

He warned me that I may get pregnant, and I laughed about it as I had wanted a baby for a number of years, but with PCOS that can be very difficult. In July of 2019, after a weight loss of 89 pounds which had somewhat regulated my cycles, I became pregnant with my son! I now have a happy, healthy 15 month old born April 2020. After having a baby and surviving a pandemic (unfortunately with some weight gain) I'm ready to get back on track.

I've always been a tall, strong, on the heavier side woman, but Covid home-life, gym closures, and relocating had me pack on 30+ extra lbs.  My uncle had seen Dr. Verma years ago and lost a significant amount of weight and kept it off, so I knew if I could commit, that this program would work based on his success.  I wanted faster results while still being able to work from home, teach my kids, and juggle  life demands... so I made my appointment.  I was super worried about how $$ this may be....boy I was I ever surprised to find out that it's NOT expensive!!

I discovered at my first appointment that I had crossed into the obese category after having been "overweight" for at least the last 15 years. Ugh.  I received supplements (Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Probiotics, Multi Vitamins) and a prescription that I only take every so often.  I am not a big prescription person but knew I needed the help here as food had become more of a crutch.

Initial start up when I purchased my vitamins and supplements was a few hundred bucks (and I am sure to each their own, my needs wont be your needs etc.) but I wasn't pressured to purchase anything. Supplements and Vitamins were suggested to me and I asked about prices etc. and made decisions that I WANTED.  They recommended some of the foods that are sold in the store there and I tried quite a few of them with success, but I DID NOT HAVE to buy them. There is NO pressure at ALL to purchase anything.   (If you try something the lemon bars are really good)

As of today I am down 35 lbs. I have 5 more lbs to go to hit my goal weight.  I go every week to weigh in/grab anything I may need and bi weekly I meet with Dr. Verma.  The appointments don't last more than 15 minutes so its not even an inconvenience stopping by there.  Even after I hit my goal weight, you wont just STOP going - you continue with them as you increase your calories and start exercising etc... they help you find the new balance in life.  The staff is super friendly and helpful and they honestly start to feel like family.    I can't recommend Lifestyle Physicians enough, it is so worth it. I only wish I hadn't been so worried about the cost and started on this journey earlier.    Give them a call and schedule yourself an appointment.  Its probably the best thing I have EVER done for myself.

He  takes special time with his patients individualizing their diet plan to ensure their weight loss success in a safe manner. Weekly weigh ins and bi weekly visits with him help keep us accountable and gives us opportunities to discuss successes and frustrations. He is so patient and kind...he really works with you and cares about your success and is your best cheerleader on your team to make sure you really make lifetime changes that you can live with. The food is great, and easy to adjust to. You are never hungry because he keeps you fed every 3 hours. He even gives you his cell phone number if you need him and has called us to check on us! I thought about how long it had been that I had been going through diets, losing then gaining, then losing and gaining even more. This had been the cycle for 25 years. Once recovered, I went to Dr Verma at Lifestyle Physicians in Culpeper for assistance in losing the weight I had gained during the 6 years of very little activity.  I started in Feb, 2018.  I wasn't sure if I would be able to lose a lot of weight at my age and with restricted exercises due to my hip.  By September, I had lost 50 pounds.  FIFTY  POUNDS!  I went from 175 pounds to 125 pounds!  At 5'2" and the age of 57, I'm back to the weight I was when I was in my 20s.  :)  I couldn't believe how fast it came off and how well I was able to fit the plan into my life. With the help of Dr. Verma and his team I have lost 40lbs in 3 months.  I have lowered my blood pressure to a normal range and have been able to discontinue my blood pressure medication.  My cholesterol has also gone down and will not need to take medication.

I was maintaining my weight previous to my November 2016 doctor's appointment but was not doing what I should have been and still needed to lose 40 lbs.  When my doctor informed me I was "morbidly obese" and then that my A1C was at 12 when my labs came back the next day I knew I needed to make changes.  I was able to get my A1C down to 9.9 on my own in January when I heard two coworkers discussing Dr.Verma's approach to obesity and diabetes. I dropped by his Culpeper location and setup an appointment to see him in Warrenton the next week. When I started his plan for weight loss and controlling my glucose levels I knew I had a long road ahead of me. Within a couple of months I was off of several medications, within 15-18 lbs of my goal and my A1C down to 6.1.

I am still learning what I need to do to keep making progress and if I constantly did what I should would probably be at my goal.  My initial goal was getting my A1C under 6 and I wasn't rushing to my weight goal but have realized both are related and getting off the medications to treat my diabetes and related conditions due to my obesity has made me feel so much better and if I continue to follow the plan I can reach my goals, save a ton of $$ spent on meds and be healthier overall.  I knew my lifestyle could drive my health and I could take ownership of my diabetes, but with Dr. Verma and his staff I am finally able to do it.  Previous doctors were hesitant to take me off medications when I was able to lose weight, exercise and eat properly before and I now have a new primary physician and with Dr. Verma and his staff's guidance I am taking responsibility for my own health.  He does have to remind me of things I know I should do and keep them in mind as I make choices of what to and not to eat/do.  It's a challenge but I know I am ultimately responsible for my actions and Lifestyle Physicians has helped me understand this again and get back on track.  This isn't just a quick way to get the weight off, this is a lifestyle change that requires me to understand the impact of what I put into my body and how it ultimately effects my health and my diabetes.  If you stick with the program and do what you should YOU will take ownership of your own health and make the changes in lifestyle that are needed to keep yourself healthy.

My wife joined my journey with Lifestyle Physicians to improve her health as well and has done a lot better than I have so far but we both realize it's up to us to take ownership of our health and use the guidance provided by everyone at Lifestyle Physicians to help us create a long term plan for our family.  I've never had a physician that takes a look at the whole picture like Dr. Verma does and always was told to exercise and eat better with no real direction on improving my health.  His understanding of obesity and how to treat it make this a completely different journey than I took when I was first diagnosed with diabetes and my fitness and health was limited by the side effects of medications I was told I'd have to take forever.  I'm learning that sometimes getting a second opinion pays off.  My doctors were very competent but with the assembly line healthcare has become there isn't the time for them to guide you and give you the personalized care that you need and deserve.

Lifestyle Physicians take a different approach to your health and well being. If you're looking for a quick fix without working then there are plenty of places that promise that but if you are willing to play your part and take ownership of your lifestyle then Dr. Verma and all his staff will help guide you to make you successful in your journey to a healthier, happier life.

I had been trying to conceive for many years with out any luck. I was even put on fertility medications with no success. After seeing Dr. Verma he put me on metformin, Nature-Throid accompanied with weight loss. I got pregnant within 2 months!!! I had thyroid issues, and after doing research, I told myself that my thyroid is the culprit and I will always be fat. I recently started having chest pressure and shortness of breath with moderate walking. I was referred to a Cardiologist who ordered test and then placed me on heart medication. One night while I was working I overheard one of my co-worker talking about Lifestyle Physicians, she had recently joined the program and had already lost about twenty pounds in three weeks. I thought she was going to get skinny and I would still be fat, I discreetly gathered some information from her, then hesitantly decided to go and talk to Dr. Verma.

Dr. Verma had so much confident that I could lose the weight, so I purposely agreed to enroll just to show him that it would never worked. I joined Ligestyle Physicians at the end of October 2015,. In the first week I lost six pounds, but I was not excited because I had lost ten pounds on other weight loss program and gain it right back. The following weeks I lost more and more weight. I went through Thanksgiving and Christmas feast and was still losing weight.

Dr. Verma and Stephanie have been a great motivator and encourages me to keep trying even if I do not meet my goal every week. Work in progress is what Dr. Verma calls it. I no longer have any chest pressure, shortness of breath or taking any heart medication.  I continue to lose more weight. So far I have lost 35 pounds and counting. After almost two hours of orientation, lab collect, food and supplement distribution.  My wife and I were on our way home...I weighed 295 lbs.  Today, January 24th - - - 51 days later I have lost 40lbs.  😊     Dr. Verma and I text message once to 3x per week and consult as needed.  The best part of this diet so far is that at 52 years of age I have not done any exercising.   In the past I've run, biked, walked, lifted weights, & used all types of gym equipment and never experience this kind of weight loss at this rate.   I have not exercised in 51 days. I go to work and come home!!!   My weight loss goal is 100lbs.  Thank you Dr. Verma!!!

Eric and I decided to trust dr. Verma on December 25 th, and although the program seemed too good to be true, we took the leap of faith!  As a woman I knew my husband would loose weight faster and doc reassured me of it, but to work on my own weight. I have tried many weight loss programs, from a personal trainer to weight watchers. I have tried a number of different things to lose weight but this has been the easiest and most effective way I found, I have lost 14 lbs in 12 days which goes to show that it really does matter what you eat. They have helped me to realize that weight loss is not about a miracle pill. They looked at my entire picture, not just my weight.
