You are not alone

Erectile dysfunction is common, and often treatable

Many men have trouble with erections at some point, and it becomes more common with age. It is often linked to blood flow, hormones, blood sugar, medications, stress or sleep. Erection problems can also be an early warning sign of heart disease or diabetes, which is why we start with a full medical evaluation.

Your program is private, judgment-free and tailored to what is driving your symptoms.

Self-check

Erectile function questionnaire

5 quick questions. Your total, out of 25, gives a rough idea of whether erection problems may be present and how much.

1. How would you rate your confidence that you can get and keep an erection?

2. With sexual stimulation, how often were your erections firm enough for penetration?

3. During intercourse, how often could you keep your erection after penetration?

4. During intercourse, how difficult was it to keep your erection until the end?

5. When you tried intercourse, how often was it satisfying for you?

Answer the questions to see your score.

This questionnaire is for information only. It is not a diagnosis. It covers the same areas as validated erectile function questionnaires, but it is not one of them. Answer based on the past 6 months. Your answers stay on your device. They are not saved or sent to us.

Medications that may affect sexual function

Beyond erections, some medicines can affect desire, orgasm and ejaculation. These side effects are common and often manageable, so tell us about any changes you notice.

Treatment

The P-Shot®

The P-Shot® (Priapus Shot®) uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your own blood. Platelets carry growth factors that play a role in the body’s natural repair. In the P-Shot, PRP is placed into the penis to support healthy tissue and blood flow.

Dr. Sagar Verma, MD trained with Dr. Charles Runels, who developed the P-Shot®, and is a licensed P-Shot® provider.

How it is done

1

Blood draw

A small amount of your blood is drawn, like a routine lab test.

2

Preparing PRP

Your blood is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma.

3

Numbing

A numbing cream is applied so you stay comfortable.

4

Treatment

The PRP is placed with a very fine needle. The visit takes about an hour.

Possible advantages

Things to know

More options

Other treatments in the program

Used when appropriate for you, after a medical evaluation.

Pulse wave therapy

Low-intensity acoustic (sound) wave therapy, also called shockwave therapy, delivered to the penis with a handheld device. It may support new blood vessel growth and better blood flow. It is usually given as a series of short sessions over several weeks, with no needles and no downtime. It is not FDA-approved for erectile dysfunction, and results vary.

Trimix injections

A compounded mix of three medications (papaverine, phentolamine and alprostadil) that relax blood vessels in the penis. You inject a tiny amount into the side of the penis with a very fine needle shortly before sex. Your first dose is given in the clinic so we can find the right amount and teach you how. Trimix is compounded and not FDA-approved. An erection lasting more than 4 hours is a medical emergency.

Vacuum erection device (penile pump)

A plastic cylinder placed over the penis. A hand or battery pump removes air, drawing blood into the penis. A soft ring placed at the base helps keep the erection. Remove the ring within 30 minutes. It has no medication, but it is not right for some men who take blood thinners or have bleeding problems.

Peptides

Peptides for sexual health

Prescribed by your provider and prepared by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy.

Core

PT-141 (bremelanotide)

Works in the brain on pathways linked to sexual desire and arousal. It may support libido and sexual response.

Core

Oxytocin

Often called the “bonding hormone.” It may support arousal, intimacy and emotional connection.

Add-on

Sermorelin

Encourages your body’s own growth hormone release. It may support energy, sleep and recovery.

About peptides. These peptides are prescribed only after a consultation, when your provider decides they are appropriate for you. Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality. PT-141 is FDA-approved only for certain women; its use in men is off-label. Availability of some peptides may change as FDA rules change. Possible side effects include nausea, flushing, headache and injection-site reactions. Individual results vary.

Mind and body

Stress, sleep and performance anxiety

Stress

Long-term stress may lower testosterone and desire, and make erections harder. We help you spot your stressors and manage them.

Sleep

Good sleep supports healthy testosterone and blood vessels. We screen for sleep problems such as sleep apnea.

Performance anxiety

Worry about performing can cause erection problems on its own. It is common and treatable, and we address it openly and privately.

Supplement disclaimer. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Supplements can interact with medications and are not right for everyone. Talk with your provider before starting any supplement. Individual results vary.

Common questions

We apply numbing cream first. Most men feel only mild pressure or brief discomfort.

No. PRP is your own blood product, and its use in the P-Shot® is not FDA-approved for erectile dysfunction. We explain what is known and the risks before you decide.

Some men notice changes within a few weeks, and improvement may continue over a few months. Results vary.

Yes. Hormone management is part of the program, and many men benefit from treating both.

An erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism) is a medical emergency. Go to the nearest emergency room. This is mainly a risk with Trimix and some other medications.

The program is self-pay. Standard lab tests may be billed to insurance. Pricing is discussed at your consultation.
