Integrative Medicine

Built on evaluation. Delivered with
oversight. Refined over time.

01
Evaluation First
Every patient begins with a comprehensive consultation and targeted lab work. The right peptide depends on what your physiology actually needs — informed by biomarkers, history, and clinical judgment.
02
Physician-Prescribed, Physician-Supervised
All protocols are designed and overseen by Dr. Sagar Verma, MD. There are no standalone peptide injections, no take-it-and-go programs, no protocols handed off to non-physician staff.
03
Sourced Through Licensed Pharmacies
Peptides are obtained exclusively through state-licensed compounding pharmacies operating under federal and state pharmacy regulations and applicable USP standards. We do not work with research-grade or unregulated sources.
04
Integrated With Your Whole Picture
Hormones, metabolism, recovery, sleep, and cognitive health are connected. Your peptide protocol is part of an integrated plan — not an isolated intervention.

Common Questions

What patients ask before starting.

If you have a question that isn’t answered here, schedule a consultation — every patient receives a thorough evaluation before any protocol is discussed.
What is the regulatory status of these peptides?
The peptides used in our practice are compounded medications obtained through state-licensed compounding pharmacies operating under federal and state pharmacy regulations. Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved drugs, and use within the categories described on this page is considered off-label. The FDA actively reviews peptides on its bulk substance lists; we monitor those decisions and adjust offerings accordingly. We do not work with research-grade or unregulated sources.
How is peptide therapy different from hormone replacement?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules — they tell your body to produce or modulate something on its own. Traditional hormone replacement directly supplies the hormone. Many of our patients use peptides alongside or in place of hormone therapy depending on their evaluation.
Is peptide therapy covered by insurance?
Lifestyle Physicians is a cash-pay practice. Peptide therapy is not typically reimbursed by insurance regardless of provider. Patients receive transparent pricing during consultation and may use HSA/FSA funds where eligible.
When are protocols typically reassessed?
Reassessment intervals depend entirely on the protocol and the clinical question being addressed. Recovery-focused protocols are often reviewed within weeks. Hormone-modulating protocols are typically reassessed at 6–12 weeks. Longevity-oriented protocols are evaluated over 3–6 month windows using objective lab markers. Reassessment timing is clinical judgment, not a guarantee of any specific outcome — individual responses vary.
Can I be treated remotely?
Initial consultation and any required physical examination must occur at one of our Virginia locations: Warrenton or Culpeper. Once established, certain follow-ups may be conducted via telehealth where clinically appropriate and permitted under Virginia regulations.
Who is peptide therapy not appropriate for?
Patients with active malignancy, certain cardiovascular conditions, or specific endocrine disorders may not be candidates for some peptides. This is why every patient receives a clinical evaluation before any protocol is offered. We will tell you if peptides are not the right tool for your situation.
